3. Istanbul Fashion, Textile & Apparel Conference & Exhibition (Bridges of Fashion Istanbul)
Organized by Turkish Clothing Manufacturers Association will take place at Istanbul Hilton Convention Center
between the dates of May 6-7 2010
as a Project partner of Istanbul European Capital of Culture 2010.
At our Conference organized to bring together in solidarity all sectoral value chain rings starting with textile, apparel, logistics and fashion design, an environment for new business development is provided by creating opportunities for one-to-one negotiations with local manufacturers.
5 sessions in total will be held during this conference of 2 days. The main topics are provided below for your information.

The meeting of which the opening speech will be held by the Minister of State *Egemen Bağış and Zafer will entertain besides many valuable speakers as guest of honor and special speaker Chairman of the Board of Cerruti, 130 years’ legend of Italy’s apparel sector, Nino Cerruti (accompanied by his son Julien Cerruti and the company’s CEO Daniele Sanzeni), and as guest of honor and special speaker Adriano Goldschmied, worldwide known Jean Guru. Furthermore, Cotton Council International Turkey Program Director Marsha Powell, Öztek Tekstil partner Eşref Akın, wearable technology designer from Denmark, Michel Guglielmi who gave aesthetic glimmer and radiating properties to the fabric by chips sensitive to carbon dioxide in the air, scientific fortune teller, futurist Liselotte Lyngsø who shaped the future of Ikea and Motorola, Mercedes Gonzales from Global Purshasing Companies, Yılmaz Yılmaz Chairman of Board of BMD and Koton, Lutz Walter, Euratex R&D Director, Mark Agius, Bureau Veritas Vice President from Hong Kong, Prof. Dr. Thomas Fischer (Director of German Denkendorf Textile and Fiber Research Institute) will be our valuable speakers.
After the sessions, it is foreseen that B2B negotiations bringing together the representatives of foreign purchasing groups, company representatives of local brands and manufacturers with a participation of 500 people last year will enable 1000 new business negotiations this year. Bilateral business negotiations will especially enable meeting opportunities for our ready wear manufacturers in Istanbul and Anatolia with the representatives of foreign purchasing groups and local brands.
